Chatham

One of the North Kent, unitary authority of Medway located Medway towns, is Chatham (/ˈtʃ təm/ CHAT-əm) in South East England. Preserved as the Chatham Historic Dockyard location that is historic (operated by Historic Dockyard Trust of Chatham), which was under consideration as a World Heritage Site were the dockyard buildings, and the location is being used for other purposes.

Chatham had been included in the Rochester, Chatham, and Mid Kent constituencies and Chatham prior to 1997. Became a market town in its own right in the 19th century and a municipal borough in 1890, was Chatham.
